Lauren Pauling, MA, LPC
Lauren Pauling is a Licensed Professional Counselor who is passionate about making her clients feel welcomed into therapy and rapport-building as she recognizes that seeking help is not an easy step. She likes to focus on problem-solving, self-care and self-compassion as these components are crucial to our ongoing mental/social/physical/emotional wellness. Her warm and adaptive approach was founded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Lauren is also a Certified Trauma Professional (CCTP) through the International Association of Trauma Professionals (IATP). She uses a flexible therapeutic approach to meet the client where they are at, including the use of solution-focused therapy, mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal relationship skills, and communication and coping skill development. Prior to working at Susquehanna Valley Therapy Group, Lauren earned her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from West Chester University in 2013 and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Millersville University in 2011. She has been working in the mental health field since 2008 and has extensive experience working with individuals of all ages in all levels of care.
