Lauren Pauling is a Licensed Professional Counselor who is passionate about making her clients feel welcomed and comfortable in therapy, as she recognizes that seeking help is not an easy step. She has a passion to help people feel safe to share and explore what led them to reach out in the first place. Lauren provides compassion and support to help you work through things that will lend to you being the happiest and healthiest version of yourself. She will hold space as you recognize and sit with uncomfortable thoughts and feelings, problem-solve, and learn to care for yourself in the ways that are needed. She will provide you with the skills that are needed for your mental, social, physical and emotional wellness. Her warm and adaptive approach was founded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), however, she is also trained in a wide variety of therapeutic approaches, such as Interpersonal Family Systems, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. She tailors each session to meet her client’s individual needs and learning styles, as well as meet them where they are at that day. Lauren is also a Certified Trauma Professional (CCTP) through the International Association of Trauma Professionals (IATP) and has extensive training in treating trauma and using skills to reduce the impact of trauma.
